Property Accountant at Property Management Co. (South Granville)

Vancouver Luxury Realty & EasyRent Real Estate Service are licensed British Columbia Real Estate Corporations that specialize in sales, property management and luxury accommodation rentals in the Greater Vancouver area.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic full-time Property Accountant with accounting / bookkeeping background with related education to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate is a professional individual who is knowledge of Property Management software programs, at least two year local accounting experience, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Essential Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

- Acting as Accounts Receivable to conduct monthly preauthorized debit rental payment; collect rental payment in a timely manner.

- Review delinquent accounts and contact tenants to collect rental payment in a timely manner.

- Performing as Accounts Payable to process invoices and issue cheques accordingly.

- Reconcile rent and deposit trust accounts daily.

- Withholding and remitting non-resident taxes on the behalf of homeowners to CRA on a monthly basis.

- Assisting to apply NR6 application forms; and issue NR4 slips to non-resident homeowners.

- Sorting and filing invoices and documents.

- Inform management as to any discrepancies or any other problem areas that may exist.

- Ensure clients, properties as well as accounting setup precisely updated in the CRM software.

- Any other tasks assigned by Accounting Manager.

The successful Candidate will have following qualities:

- At least two years local accounting experience and familiar to GAAP principles.

- High attention to detail.

- Fast and accurate data entries.

- Great work ethic and ability to work to deadlines under pressure.

- Willing to take extra steps to resolve issues.

- Accounting certificate/ diploma / degree, or equivalent.

- Good command of English language both written and spoken.

- Computer literacy required, including knowledge of Excel, email and web browsers.

- Ability to perform efficiently work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
