The Position: We’re looking for an Administrative Assistant/ Scale Operator to work out of our Cox Station Quarry in Abbotsford. The Admin Assistant/Scale Operator is responsible for daily administrative duties around the quarry office as well as scale operations. The incumbent is an individual with strong people, organizational and computer skills, who enjoys variety and working in a fast-paced environment.
Please note that a reliable vehicle will be required for this role as no public transport is available to the Quarry site.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year administrative experience
- Pleasant friendly personality who likes working with people
- General computer skills. We will train in specific software packages
- Organizational and time management skills
- Accounts Payable experience an asset
- Individual should be detail oriented and exhibit strong organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Entering timecards
- Handle clerical or other job duties assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to, monthly fuel usage reports, completing monthly accrual list, data entry answering telephone, ordering supplies and filing
- Working with school districts to set up school tours
- Conducting visitor safety orientations
- Greet all incoming truck drivers at the scale house. Answer the phone in a professional manner
- Ensure all trucks are properly and accurately weighed on the scale both entering and leaving the facility
- Ascertain the client name and job location for each delivery
- Process credit card and cash transactions for COD customers
- Maintain scale house and grounds clean and organized according to company 5S program
- Represent the company in a professional, courteous manner at all times
- Issue purchase orders
- Receive parts in accounting system and review proper documentation for all deliveries
