We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team and support our growing business.
Job Description:
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to provide collaborative support to keep our stores running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will join the team responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting overall accounting functions. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports promptly.
- Manage vendor and customer accounts, including resolving any issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit GST/HST, QST, PST, EHT, WSIB/WCB, and payroll tax filings on time.
- Handle payroll calculations, including T4 slips, T4 summaries, and ROEs.
- Assist in the annual financial statement audit.
- Support the accounting team with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Executive Assistant, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, such as QuickBooks and Excel (Must).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
