POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will be a key member of the Corporate Finance team at a rapidly growing Aerospace company. The Senior Accountant will support the preparation and analysis of FTG Corporate and FTG consolidated financial results and will also contribute to various Corporate Finance projects aimed at supporting FTG’s growth. This position is exposed to many aspects of corporate finance and reports to the Corporate Controller.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and Reporting
· Corporate month-end closing activities related to hedge accounting, government loans, intercompany, share-based compensations etc.
· Support the month-end consolidation of all FTG’s subsidiaries
· Support the quarter-end and year-end preparation of financial statements, MD&A and other disclosures
· Support the year-end audit
Treasury
· Prepare weekly cash reports
· Monitor and execute intercompany fund transfers
· Monitor and execute FX and precious metal hedging contracts
Other Corporate Finance Projects
· Act as an expert of Vena FP&A software, design and improve reports, support users and ensure consistent reporting across all FTG subsidiaries
· Support ad-hoc projects as required, such as:
· Analysis of financial results to support decision-making by Corporate leadership
· Integration of acquired or newly incorporated subsidiaries
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
· CPA student or newly-qualified CPA
· 3 years of experience at a mid-or-large-size audit firm or related industries, IFRS experience is required
· Ability and interest to step beyond month-end closings and support ad-hoc Corporate Finance projects
· Ability and interest to grow beyond the current responsibilities in step with the Company’s growth
· High level of initiative to identify weaknesses in processes, make recommendations and implement improvements
· Exposure to manufacturing industry is a plus
· Exposure to Canadian and/or US tax is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
