What you will be responsible for:
- Preparing, compiling and completing year-end working papers, checklists and financial statements for Compilation and Review engagements
- Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns
- Working on special accounting and tax projects alongside manager or partner
- Managing and performing bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online & Xero for clients including transaction classification, GL maintenance, HST, WSIB and payroll
- Updating manager or engagement partner on progress of engagements
- Following up with clients on information requests and deadlines
- Communicating with the Canada Revenue Agency on inquiries and correspondences relating to client matters
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients with responsive communication and customer service
What you will bring to KSSP Partners LLP:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- Enrollment in the CPA program an asset, but not required
- Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Enthusiastic and energetic self-starter with a desire to grow your accounting and tax knowledge
- Comfortable interacting with clients independently
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-check work completed
- Highly organized with ability to work independently and apply professional judgement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Some travel may be required
