Role Overview:
The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with data entry, and performing essential bookkeeping tasks. This role requires someone who is highly organized, has above-average computer skills, and is committed to supporting the financial health of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter financial transactions into our accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Maintain a well-organized filing system for all financial documents.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
- Support payroll processing and manage employee expense reimbursements.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to internal controls and financial policies to maintain the integrity of our financial operations.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Some experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is an asset, but not required.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.

Work Environment:
- Onsite position at our Ottawa, Ontario office.
- Full-time, with regular business hours (Monday to Friday).

- Hourly Rate: $24/hr.
