We are hiring a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Manager based at our Scarborough location. The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will play a critical role in driving the financial planning and analysis function at our organization. This role involves forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. The FP&A Manager will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure financial goals are met and provide insights to improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparing detailed budget models and presentations for executive review.
- Develop and maintain long-term financial forecasts and strategic plans.
- Coordinate with department heads to gather budget inputs and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances.
- Analyze financial results and provide insights on trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business planning and decision-making. To include corporate consolidation, Intercompany eliminations, cash flow analysis to outline some specific examples.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of various business strategies and external factors.
- Provide financial modeling support for capital investment decisions, M&A activities, and other strategic initiatives.
Operational Support:
- Partner with operations, sales, and marketing teams to provide financial guidance and support for key business initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze production costs, margins, and inventory levels to identify areas for improvement.
- Support pricing strategy and cost management efforts to optimize profitability.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to drive better decision-making and business performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial planning software).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
