As part of a holdings group of nine sister companies, Pacific Customs Brokers is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our team. We are a group of diverse companies operating in both Canada and the United States. All accounting is processed from our Surrey office. The AR position handles the collection and posting of payments to multiple companies within our Organization through multiple systems.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of AR experience is required, preferably in a multi-company environment. Experience with freight and customs brokerage would be an asset..
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collections
- Follow up on past due accounts and determine when accounts may be trending towards delinquent status
- Keep Customers within account Terms
- Problem Solve and follow up with the client or Internal Staff for Solutions
- Prepare and send statements to Customers
- Reconcile Customer accounts as needed
- Post payments to the accounts. Cheques/Credit cards/EFT.
- Cheque Scanning, or prepare deposits as needed
- Handle credit checks for Internal Staff on shipments
- Handle Client refunds - Occasionally
- Bank Runs - Occasional
- Other Duties as and when required
The successful candidate must have the following skills:
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- 5 Years' Experience with AR Calls
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Strong Organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and hit targets and deadlines
- Some knowledge of Transportation and/or Customs Brokerage industry would be an asset.
Must be in Canada and have the right to work at the time of application. Express Entry or students seeking LMIA will not be considered.

We are located at the US/Canada border crossing (176th Street and 1st Avenue) in South Surrey/White Rock. Public transportation is not available to this location. A reliable vehicle is required.
