Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our corporate accounting team. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping skills who is currently pursuing an accounting diploma or degree part-time. The role offers continuous opportunities for professional growth within our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Reporting:
- Accurately enter, code, and process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Handle GST/HST and PST tax filings on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Reconciliations:
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliations, including bank and inter-company transactions.
Audit Support:
- Prepare and maintain year-end working papers and schedules.
- Provide detailed analysis and support for year-end financial audits.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Sage 50 or QuickBooks (preferred).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience in accounting (preferred).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.
