Company Overview: Empire Oilfield Solutions Inc. is a dynamic and growing service support company based in Alberta. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dedicated finance team.
Position Overview: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial transactions by accurately managing invoices, processing payments, and resolving discrepancies. This position requires a diligent individual who is adept at maintaining financial records and communicating effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and monitor accounts to ensure timely collection.
- Support in the internal ticketing program between Operations and Customers
- Maintain accounts receivable files and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in preparing reports detailing accounts receivable status and collection efforts.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to resolve billing and customer credit issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service in responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts receivable procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Sage and MS Office (especially Excel) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
