McNabb Lucuk LLP is a full service accounting firm located in Grande Prairie, AB. We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our growing team. As a bookkeeper with our firm, you will use a wide range of technology to deliver a full suite of services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting and payroll administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for our clients
- Prepare and maintain payroll and related government remittances / filings, recording of sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) transactions
- Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and intercompany transactions
- Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, discuss with supervisor or engagement partner to develop resolutions
- Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments and installments
- Work collaboratively, develop and maintain relationships with clients and team members
- Provide training for clients on best practices and applicable software packages
Skills and Experience
- Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
- QBO Basic, QBO Advance and other application certifications are considered an asset
- 5 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience
- Experience working with cloud accounting software such as QBO is an asset
- Experience working with desktop software such as QuickBooks Desktop and Sage 50 is preferred
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
