Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and growth-minded Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO) with a CPA/CA designation to join our executive team. The ideal candidate would possess a strong background in leadership, capital formation, real estate, taxation, and corporate structures. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational strategies to support the firm's growth objectives and enhance overall efficiency.
Participate and oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including lending activities, risk management, compliance, and internal controls.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic plan. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
Lead financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting efforts to inform decision-making and optimize financial performance.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, regulatory authorities, third party vendors and external advisors.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to members of the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the firm's growth objectives and enhance overall financial performance.
Oversee all aspects of the company's financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury management.
Lead financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting efforts to inform decision-making and optimize financial performance.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, regulatory authorities, and external auditors.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to members of the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Capital Formation: Develop and implement strategies for effective capital raising. Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Taxation and Corporate Structures: Manage and optimize the company’s tax strategies and corporate structures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maximize tax efficiency.
Operational Management: Streamline and enhance operational processes to support growth and scalability. Implement best practices in operational efficiency and risk management.
Qualifications:
CPA/CA designation is required.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a private equity firm or similar financial institution would be an asset.
Strong background in capital formation, real estate, taxation, and corporate structures.
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
