Based in Mississauga, ON, GBM serves markets in and around the GTA, providing building materials to developers, builders and contractors of all sizes.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at General Building Material (GBM) in Mississauga, ON. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the Accountant will work closely with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- CPA designation is a must with at least 3 years experience
- Financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, MS Excel
- Experience with AR and AP
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
- Experience in tax preparation, budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
