Are you ready to dive into the world of tech and make your mark as a Senior Accountant with our growing team? We are currently servicing customers throughout Canada, USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, and require a Senior Accountant to play a pivotal role in our financial operations.
Who are we?
Vish is changing and innovating the professional hair color industry. At the local level, Vish helps salons eliminate waste, manage their inventory, increase service revenue, and provide valuable insight into their color business. At the global level, Vish will revolutionize supply chain management for the entire hair color industry.
The Role:
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Senior Accountant will have the autonomy to find creative solutions, implement new processes and continue to learn along the way. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our financial operations, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and efficiency of our accounting processes and records.
Role Requirements:
- Record and manage all transactions into Quickbooks Online
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
- Manage accounts receivable invoicing and subsequent collection of payment
- Manage accounts payable entries and payments
- Manage and reconcile inter-company transactions
- Process payroll on a biweekly basis
- Facilitate employee benefits and employee expense reimbursements
- Monitor all entities to ensure timely filing of financial statements and tax returns, and assist in the year end and tax filing process with external auditors and tax advisors
- Assist and comply with provincial and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings such as T4s, ROEs, GST/PST, US Sales Tax compliance, etc.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and provide monthly financial reporting and forecast updates, including variance analysis
- Assist with applicable corporate filings
- Assist with the maintenance and reporting for external grants and fundings
- Implement new Finance processes to improve process efficiency and accuracy
- Support with ad hoc tasks and projects as required
- Other duties as assigned
Applicant Requirements:
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of full cycle accounting experience
- Proven track record in providing full cycle accounting
- Possess the ability to multitask and work effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Have a strong sense of discretion and have been trusted with sensitive or personal information in the past
- Experience working in a high growth start-up (preferred)
