A fantastic opportunity awaits you in our client's fast-growing manufacturing company located in North Surrey! We are actively searching for a dynamic and dedicated Accounting Clerk to handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
If you're an energetic, self-driven individual in the early stages of your accounting career and have at least two years of experience in both AP and AR, then we'd love to meet you! About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your main responsibilities will include:
- Matching vendor invoices to purchase orders and packing slips
- Verifying and posting vendor invoices in line with company policies
- Handling payment runs
- Reconciling customer and vendor accounts, responding to inquiries, and investigating discrepancies
- Invoicing according to company standards
- Posting Cash Receipts
- Processing customer credit applications
- Making credit and collection calls
- Providing relief coverage for reception duties
- Participating in other projects and tasks assigned by the Director of Finance
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or a related discipline
- At least 2+ years of recent accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and a strong focus on confidentiality
- Success in the role requires an individual who thrives in a busy environment and loves the challenge of juggling various tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
