Our client is looking for someone with hands-on, full-cycle NFP accounting experience who is comfortable handling the day-to-day accounting for their thriving organization. In this role, you will be relied upon to work closely with top finance leaders and ensure all financial activities are running smoothly and efficiently. The selected individual will have a keen eye for detail along with a process improvement mindset. Working with both the Director of Finance and the Chief Administrative Officer, the main responsibilities include:
- Manage finance operations including accounts payable, banking and cash management
- Manage the creation of project reports, including preparing quarterly financial reports
- Process invoices, perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations, track tax remittances and create purchase orders
- Assist with external audit and year-end statements
- Assist with creating and implementing financial and corporate policies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare and process biweekly payroll and manage accurate group benefits submissions
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Formal Accounting education
- 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in a NFP environment
- Strong technical accounting and financial analysis experience
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written)
Definite Assets:
- CPA designation completed or in progress considered a strong asset
- Payroll and or fund accounting experience
- System implementation experience
How You Will be Rewarded:
- $80,000 – $90,000 annual salary range
