About the Role:
Fitzrovia is seeking to hire an Accounting Coordinator to join our team. The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting process for multiple multi-residential properties. This role is best suited for eager individuals who want to work in fast-paced and complex work environment, with strong team working capabilities.

As we are a highly collaborative team, this role is on-site full-time, and the successful candidate will be required to work in the office Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and verifying invoices for various projects and corporate subsidiaries
- Prioritizing invoices according to payment terms
- Verifying cost codes and classification of expenses
- Entering invoices for payment in a timely manner and ensuring accuracy of information
- Reconciling holdback accounts
- Reconciling vendor statements, researching, and correcting discrepancies, as needed
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Paying invoices on time – coordinating weekly and monthly cheque runs or as required
- Managing corporate credit card reconciliations
- Matching invoices to cheques
- Circulating cheques for signature and tracking status of same
- Processing wire transfers and other types of online payments
- Logging cheques for distribution
- Preparing vendor cheques for mailing
- Contacting creditors with questions or concerns in relation to bills and responding to all vendor inquiries
- Monitoring vendor and trade insurance and communicating requirements to various departments
- Assisting with accounting setup and preparing banking documents for new project and corporate entities
- Performing other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Bachelors degree, Diploma or Certificate in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Currently enrolled or plans to enroll in the CPA PEP Program
- 2-4 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance related role
- Experience in Real Estate Development or Construction is a very strong asset
- Excellent time management and organization skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage your team and resources to generate solutions
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and initiative; able to confidently ask questions and stand your ground when dealing with difficult clients/partners.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of staff, management, and executive
- Self-motivated, curious, responsive, and result driven.
- Team player, who takes pride in their work
