Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is a team leader! The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is an integral part of CSL’s Accounting Team at our Ancaster Head Office. They will be responsible for providing accounting support to supervisors and other managers within the organization while overseeing both the AP and AR clerk. This is a great opportunity for a technically proficient individual to expand their leadership skill and that is eager to learn and grow with the business.
Responsibilities:
- Over-seeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable workflow – responsible for monitoring team progress and accountable for meeting month-end deadlines.
- Ensuring accuracy of transaction records, evaluating financial processing, and controlling transaction processes
- Creating effective financial data analysis and risk assessment for the business
- Support Controller and CFO
- Vendor and Expense management - work closely with Operations
- Balancing and reconciliation of accounts/visas
- Responsible for preparation of journal entries by compiling, analyzing, and substantiating financial transactions.
- Follow up on vendor invoices being held by departments, gather feedback regarding progress, and establish estimated timelines for processing.
- Responsible for reporting on progress of vendor invoices
- Create and record monthly inter-company invoices.
- Cost analysis - help project management esp. budgets
- Daily inter-company bank reconciliation and journal entries
- Maintain accurate and timely records of accounting transactions.
- Month-end account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
Qualifications and responsibilities
- 5+ years of relevant experience in positions that require financial reporting and analysis
- CPA designation is an asset.
- Familiar with Canada accounting and taxation compliance
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Experience with financial or accounting systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
