Position: Accounts Receivable
ContainerWorld is a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution Company located in Richmond, British Columbia providing premier services for the beverage industry; with approximately 500 employees throughout its BC facilities. ContainerWorld also operates in Ontario.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.00 am-4.30 pm
Position overview: This is a 13-month contract position. Working mainly independently with guidance of Credit Manager as required, assists with the collection of accounts receivable and related activities in order to maintain the Company’s liquidity.
Job Description:

Assists with the collection of Accounts Receivable due and past due balances

Assist with the resolution of customer invoice inquiries; sending invoices and statements to customers when requested; managing the accounts receivable e-mail inbox

Prepare daily bank deposits and pull daily wire payment information

Post all receipts into Sage in a timely manner and follow up with customers on short payments and unapplied amounts

Generate monthly billing in Sage, distribute invoices to customers with backup documentation; maintain general filing of all invoices and backup documentation for future reference as required

Interact with other accounts receivable, accounts payable and accounting duties as required
Required Qualifications:

Post secondary courses plus 2-3 years of related experience, or specialist certificate/diploma.

Preference will be given to candidates pursuing first year CPA.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting theory

Experience working on Sage, Truckmate, Accellos is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requires strong interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external customers

A self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in a team
