We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong administrative and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
- Maintain patient records and update information in the Accuro EMR system
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence via telephone and email
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Requirements:
*MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS*
- At least 2 year prior experience in a cardiology or medical office environment is a must
- MOA certificate from a Canadian College is preferred
- Proficiency in using office equipment and computer software
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Working knowledge of Accuro EMR or similar software is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
