We are seeking an experienced and strategic CFO to lead the financial management of our operations and drive growth across all business lines.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for apparel and real estate divisions.
- Banking and Financing:
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure financing and maintain liquidity.
- Lead negotiations for loans, refinancing, and credit facilities.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Analyze and improve cash flow, cost structures, and operational processes.
- Drive profitability through strategic financial planning and cost optimization.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Lead external audits and ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strong internal controls across all business units.
- Industry Expertise:
- Leverage knowledge of the apparel wholesale and manufacturing sectors to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Apply expertise in commercial property investment to maximize asset performance.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team across multiple business units.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure alignment on financial goals.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or equivalent financial certification.
- 10+ years of experience in finance, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Background in audit, preferably with experience at a accounting firm (an asset).
- Proven ability to manage complex banking relationships and secure financing.
- Experience in apparel wholesale, manufacturing, and/or commercial property investment (preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
