Administrative Assistant - Temporary

Baker Tilly is Canada's mid-market alternative for accounting, tax and business consulting solutions. We are currently recruiting two temporary administrative assistants for our Chatham office for tax season. The successful candidates will work closely with our administrative team to carry out the day-to-day operations of a busy accounting office.

Start Date:

Mid to late January 2025

End Date:

June 2025 with the possibility of extension

Hours of Work:
Full-time hours from Monday to Friday. In addition, Saturdays and overtime will be required in April.

Location:
In-person at our Keil Drive office in Chatham. Hybrid or remote working options are not available.

Compensation:
Hourly wage of $22 - $23 per hour.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Receiving incoming phone calls, greeting clients, contacting clients for record pick up;
Intake and delivery of client records and returns;
Printing, assembly, and filing of personal tax returns; and
Other administrative and reception duties as assigned.

A successful candidate will have:

A keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while working under tight deadlines;
Initiative while working independently and as part of a team;
Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet demand;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent analytical and problem identification skills;
Client-focused attitude with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism; and
Previous experience in a public accounting firm is an asset, but not required.
