Financial Debt Recovery Ltd. is experiencing growth in Canada and the US, and we are now seeking an Intermediate-Senior Bookkeeper with hands on experience to support our accounting team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as an Intermediate/Senior Bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing budget reports, implementing cost control measures, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, identify cost drivers, and develop strategies to optimize costs and improve profitability. You will also be responsible for monitoring inventory, conducting variance analysis, and providing recommendations for process improvements.
Ultimately, you should build updated databases and manage cost information to maximize profitability for our company.

Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 5pm
Job Duties:
- Manage full set of books for CAD and US companies
- Daily Deposit Reconciliations
- Accounts Payable
- Cost Accounting/Cash Flow
- Trust Reconciliations
- NSF reconciliations
- Reconcile sub-ledger to General Ledger
- Prepare journal entries, TB reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Revenue Reconciliations
- Process payroll on ADP workforce
- Reconcile payroll and vacation accruals
- Administer collector’s licenses and extended health benefits
- Prepare monthly Property reporting packages and shortfall analysis.
- Ad hoc projects as required
- Assist with other tasks, as necessary.
Skills required:
- Post Secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3 + years' experience in the similar position
- Solid knowledge of ASPE and Canadian GAAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Knowledge of the ADP workforce
- Working knowledge of Sage 300 and QuickBooks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
