POSITION TITLE: FUND ACCOUNTANT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with preparation of financial statements for both internal and external users
• Prepare year-end audit working paper files within scheduled deadlines
• Assist in preparation of tax working papers and review of inputs
• Liaise with management and third-party financial information providers
• Record month-end adjusting entries and capital entries for investment funds
• Prepare investor distributions and other payments
• Assist with coding of invoices to the correct fund and general ledger accounts
• Complete ad-hoc projects for internal and external reporting purposes
• Assist with other department functions as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
• One to two years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Preference for experience in equity method accounting. Investment company and real estate experience a plus.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Strong organization skills and detail oriented
• Individual must be motivated, deadline-oriented and work well with others
• Good business judgment and ability to perform multiple tasks without frequent direction.
• Resourceful; able to solve problems and work independently.
• Knowledge of Yardi preferred
