Join our client as a Property Accountant and play a key role in managing the financial operations of a condominium portfolio. This position combines technical accounting expertise with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. You will ensure financial accuracy, meet deadlines, and maintain compliance with accounting principles, contributing to the organization's reputation as a leader in condominium property management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of condominium buildings, including shared facilities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements with accuracy and ensure timely submission by the 20th of each month.
- Process and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with property managers to ensure records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Reconcile recoveries and post journal entries with precision.
- Support year-end audit processes by preparing working papers and ensuring proper documentation.
- Handle owner changes and process electronic funds transfers for common element fees.
- Take on additional tasks to align with team and company goals.
- Deliver professional and efficient communication, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Yardi
