Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Agent Payroll and Payables Specialist to join our team. This full-time, in-office role is vital to ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for real estate agents, as well as managing the company’s accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Agent Payroll:
- Process payroll for real estate agents, ensuring accuracy in commissions, splits, and deductions.
- Verify commission disbursements and handle adjustments as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records of agent transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Respond promptly to agent inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies.
Accounts Payable:
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
- Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments to vendors, contractors, and other payees.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.
Administrative and Compliance Duties:
- Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements related to payroll and payables.
- Assist in improving processes and implementing new systems as needed.
- Perform other administrative and financial tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, or related roles; experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
