Salary: $65,000/annually
Key Responsibilities:
· Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
· Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other key financial accounts to ensure data accuracy.
· Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize advanced Excel to prepare financial reports, dashboards, and analysis as required by management.
· Assist with Month-End Close: Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial information.
· Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audits by preparing documentation as needed.
· Process Improvements: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline financial processes, leveraging technology and automation tools like Excel and Power BI.
· Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with other departments, including HR and Operations, to provide financial insights and reporting.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
· Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas).
o Experience with Power BI or willingness to learn.
o Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, and financial reconciliations.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
o Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, D365 Business Central ) is a plus.
· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a fast-paced finance department or within a medium-to-large organization.
· Familiarity with ERP systems and other accounting tools.
· Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
