What You’ll Do;
As a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist for Sporting Life & Team Town Sports (SL/TTS), reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expenses in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process vendor invoices and expense reports in accordance with company policies.
- Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and contracts.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors and suppliers.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
- Maintain and update accounts payable files and records.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of accounts payable reports.
- Support internal audits and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
What You’ll Bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., D365) is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
