The New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence Inc. (NCCE Inc.) is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Human Resources Junior Manager. The ideal candidate for this position will have relevant prior experience in human resources, postsecondary education, working towards professional designation (CHRP). Solid knowledge of legal HR framework required. The HR Junior Manager will strictly adhere to NCCE Inc.’s core values and will present a professional attitude, good judgement, and discretion. Able to effectively manage multiple priorities, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Flexibility and the ability to thrive in an ever-changing work environment is a must. HR Junior Manager reports to the HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
Payroll processing: Under direction of HR Manager responsible for payroll processing, ensuring that accuracy and timelines are met consistently. Assists in managing time off requests and responds to inquiries.
Policy and Procedures: Keep up to date with all applicable laws, ensure that HR Manual is up to date; propose updates as needed.
Employee Relations: Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to establish a positive rapport with staff is a must. Discretion and professional demeanor required.
Benefits: Under the direction of HR Manager, administers group benefits, communicates with staff and responds to inquiries.
Recruitment: Assist HR Manager in hiring process and training of new staff, including NCCE Inc. core values and all aspects of their roles, conduct HR orientation sessions for new hires, staff
Records Maintenance: Supervise management of confidential records and ensure the accuracy and strict confidentiality are always adhered to.
Office Management: Under direction of HR Manager supervises HR staff, assists in daily operations.
Uniform Program: Assist HR Manager in administration of the program
Asset Management: Oversee maintenance of all necessary inventory records, collaborate with the IT department to support asset management.
Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor's Degree in HR or a related Human Resources field required
CHRP designation, or working toward is required
A min of 3 years of relevant experience in HR
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Sound organizational and problem-solving skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent computer and typing skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete many competing demands
