SaskTel Centre is seeking a detail- oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk 11 who will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for 100 employees utlilzing SAP. Along with this peraons will perform other accounting related responsilibties such as preparing, and verifying documents, and entering the transactions utlizing Momentus. This is a 13 month temporary part time positions. The successful incumbent will work 18.33 hrs a week and will be located onsite.
Scope And Major Responsibilities
- Processes and maintains payroll-related data and produce related reports and reconciliations.
- Maintains, verifies, and reconciles employee sick and vacation accrual and usage, increments, overtime and scheduled days of.
- Investigates enquiries from employees, management, and external agencies, regarding payroll, accounts payable and revenue. Responds to enquiries related to established policies and procedures.
- Codes the monthly payroll invoice for entry. Assists in the preparation of audit working papers and answers all payroll audit questions.
- Processes and maintains data in Momentis related to accounts payable, revenue account, and monthly bank reconciliations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Produces related reports and reconciliations.
Knowledge, Abilities And Skills
- Thorough knowledge of hourly and salaried payroll terminology and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of full cycle accounting.
- Knowledge of SAP (Payroll) and Momentis would be considered an asset.
- Ability to enter data rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to make mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Security Requirements
- Acceptable current criminal record check upon offer of employment.
Education, Training And Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 education
- Five years' related experience.
- Successful completion of a recognized one year post-secondary business related program, plus or including:
