Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices promptly, enabling us to seize early-payment discounts and avoid late fees.
- Review vendor invoices for documentation and approval accuracy, ensuring every detail is perfect.
- Collaborate with employees and vendors across Canada to resolve discrepancies and gather information for smooth AP entries.
- Safeguard company information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Maintain organized and accurate files and documentation in line with company policy and accounting standards.
- Issue refunds to customers, including unions and government agencies, as requested through payroll.
- Verify purchase orders for completeness and accuracy, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Proactively communicate with colleagues to gather any missing or inaccurate information.
- Streamline incoming paperwork to maintain an efficient purchasing and AP process.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- A Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business is essential.
- A minimum of two years in an accounts payable role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a proficiency in English.
- Excellent organizational abilities and MS Office proficiency.
- Strong MS Excel proficiency.
- A self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
