Here is what we are looking for: (keep in mind this is just a general idea, you will take on many different roles to help us achieve success)
Payroll/ Office Administrator
- You will handle all the financial aspects of the business including payroll, accounting, and financial bookkeeping of the office's various businesses
- You will cross-reference employees' hours of work and input the data into the payroll software for processing individual pays
- You will reconcile the hours worked and ensure that the client is billed accordingly and invoices are paid on time
- You will produce a Record Of Employment (ROE) when terminating or releasing employees as per Service Canada guidelines on their portal.
- Take incoming calls and handle various tasks and needs as required for our business
- Handle walk-ins for our business for those wanting printing, fax, and scan services as well as passport photo processing.
- Conduct regular house duties such as ensuring a clean and tidy work environment throughout the office
- You will be working closely with the CEO and management team in providing reports and data as needed
- Conduct some sales calls and follow up with potential clients
Working Hours:
9 am-5 pm Monday to Friday (THIS IS NOT A WORK FROM HOME JOB, YOU ARE PHYSICALLY REQUIRED TO BE IN OUR OFFICE 99% of the time. We are located at McCowan and Sheppard.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be proficient with accounting software (SAGE, QUICKBOOK Etc) We will be transitioning to Quickbooks soon.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Quickbooks
- Should have good sound accounting principles and practices
- Must pay attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Provide customer service over the phone and to walk-in clients
- Must be able to use various office equipment such as copy, scan, fax, printer
- Must ensure employee records are kept up to date
- Filing documents and necessary documents
- Reconciling expense receipts and invoices
- Billing appropriate clients and customers as required (Account receivables/ payable)
- Keyholders of the office, will be responsible for opening and closing the office as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
