Your primary responsibilities will include:
Preparing corporate client financial statements (review, audit and compilation) and tax returns.
Analyze financial information, accounting processes and operation procedures; provide account reconciliation and propose adjusting entries
Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time Constraints.
Preparation of personal income tax returns.
Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships.
A successful candidate will have:
Graduate of a College or University accounting program.
CPA designation
Accounting experience with mid-size business or professional firm would be an asset.
Computer skills including Caseware, Taxprep and Excel. Experience with Simply Accounting and Quickbooks would be an asset.
Experience with QBO
Legally able to work in Canada - this is not a sponsored position
Strong organization skills
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
