Your Role at a Glance
We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role (8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday), you will be a key player in ensuring the financial operations of our various properties and developments run smoothly. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help manage and maintain our accounts payable processes efficiently.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll handle everything from reviewing and coding invoices to resolving inquiries and processing expense reports. You’ll also assist with year-end audits and play an important role in ensuring our financial records are accurate and up to date.
What You’ll Do:
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable: reviewing, matching, coding, verifying approvals, and processing invoices.
• Resolve any A/P issues by working with suppliers and internal teams.
• Process expense reports, utilities, property taxes, and other key financial tasks.
• Support year-end audit preparations, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized A/P files and assist in various accounting and administrative duties.
• Provide support to Senior Management on special assignments as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
• 3-5 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role, with an accounting diploma preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Yardi property accounting software is an asset.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of invoices daily.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
• Superior attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, but also thrive in a team environment.
• A proactive approach to handling inquiries and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and colleagues.
