OPPORTUNITY
Exciting opportunity to join Fengate's newly formed accounts payable/receivable shared services function, supporting our Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Private Equity businesses.
Working alongside Fengate's finance teams and reporting to the Manager of Accounting Operations, the successful candidate will support a streamlined accounts payable, credit compliance and tax compliance reporting process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable/Receivable Management
- Input high volumes of vendor invoices, matching all source documents, obtaining approvals, and ensuring appropriate GL distributions
- Provide oversight of Fengate's fund administrator's AP process
- Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors on payment queries.
- Prepare payables for payment and assist in cash management procedures.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Assist financial reporting team in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close of accounts payable and receivables.
- Prepare tax, credit, and other compliance reporting/filings
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, company policies, and internal controls
Process Improvement and Automation
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and automation as well as opportunities to improve current accounts payable process.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Proven experience (2+ years) in accounts payable role
- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

LOCATION
The position will be based out of the Oakville office. Fengate offers a Work-Flex policy where employees are allowed to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
