- Experience working with a time and attendance system
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 140 hourly and salary employees reviewing earnings, deductions and tax withholdings applying company policy and tax compliance requirements.
- Calculate retro, statutory &sick day, company RRSP program and vacation accruals
- Maintain/prepare employee payroll records such as TD1, TD2200, T4, timesheets, group RRSP/DPSP calculating life and AD&D taxable benefits.
- Compile and reconcile annual automobile taxable benefits calculation as part of year-end T4 taxable benefits and estimates for the following year.
- Process ROE's and other documents related to employee hires and termination
- Respond to employees and managers payroll related internal and external inquires
- Process and monitor garnishment and FRO orders
- Prepare biweekly payroll reports for processing to company’s ERP system.
- Prepare, balance & reconcile payroll data and government withholdings
- Assist with year-end T4, EHT and WSIB reconciliations
- Reconcile any PIER discrepancies
- Print all emailed A/P invoices and file for processing
- Match receiving slips to vendor invoices
- Attach receipts to company credit cards and expense reports and follow-up on missing slips or possible fraudulent transactions
- Prepare/scan incoming customer cheques to transmit to financial institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

- Proven ability to maintain employee privacy, confidentiality and discretion in all activities related to administering payroll, benefits, and HR.
Education/Certification/Experience
- Post-secondary education in business administration or accounting
· Minimum of three years hands-on experience performing full cycle payroll process
· Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Working knowledge of a major ERP solution an asset
