Major Responsibilities:
· To report directly to the Senior Business Analyst on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to Payroll and Benefits administration within Canadian operations.
· To participate in the full cycle payroll preparation for the hourly and salaried employees in all Lincoln Canada divisions using ADP Workforce Now and Flexnet systems. This includes acting as a back-up for the Payroll & Benefits Specialist when necessary.
· To ensure all applicable paperwork is completed for new hires including benefits and pension forms and entering the information in the payroll and HRIS systems.
· To ensure all applicable paperwork is completed for all other staffing changes (promotions, transfers, increases and terminations) and updating the information in the payroll, HRIS and benefits systems.
· To prepare the work sheets and submit for the necessary approvals. After the payroll is processed, to post the data on SAP and prepare the month end reports.
· To prepare the monthly HR Dashboard that is distributed to the leadership team
· To participate in internal and external audits as required
· To follow-up on payroll and benefits related matters with employees as required
· To actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department, as well as other departments across the company.
· To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
· To fully abide and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.
· To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned, or required by the Senior Business Analyst in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Education Requirement:
· University Degree or 3 year College Diploma preferred or equivalent experience
· PCP designation is an asset
Minimum Experience & Training Requirement:
· Minimum 1 year of payroll experience
· Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now system is an asset
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Excellent judgment and discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information
· Ability to work both independently or in a team environment
· Strong organizational and administrative skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong communications skills, verbal and written
