Overview
We are seeking a newly designated Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Completion of compilation and review engagements and occasionally audits, including preparation of corporate tax returns
- Performing detailed file reviews for correctness and completeness and provide corrective guidance to team members
- Prepare and review personal tax returns
- Manage and utilize resources when scheduling and budgeting, including monitoring deadlines on engagements
- Assist with training, guide and mentor students in their professional education and personal development
- Participate in networking groups and events to develop rapport and build strong relationships with clients
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) program
- 1 - 3 years of public practice experience
- Broad knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards as well as current income tax legislation
- Experience with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep, Sage and Quickbooks
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel at an intermediate / advanced level
