About the Position
The Johnston Auto Group is seeking an experienced and proficient HR/Payroll Specialist to support our three Chrysler stores. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive human resource services and payroll administration. The position is based out of our Hamilton location, Johnston Chrysler. The position reports directly to our Director of Financial Operations and our group's President/Owner. Our small dealer group prides itself on a family atmosphere and inclusivity. The position allows the successful candidate to impact that environment while feeling part of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the onboarding process
- Administration of benefit plan and maintenance of employee insurance records
- Maintain confidential and accurate employee personnel files and related documentation
- Provide high level of guidance, expertise and participation in employment situations
- Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity when representing Johnston Auto Group in all dealings with employees, customers and suppliers
- Maintain, prepare and review payroll for approximately 130 employees
- Maintain and remit all payroll deductions in a timely manner
- Preparation of ROE's
- Communicate legislative changes with management
- Prepare and file T4's and perform payroll reconciliation

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years HR/Payroll experience
- Preference will be given to those with a college diploma/university degree from a HR/Payroll program
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Self motivated
Compensation level dependent on level of experience and skillset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
