Colwin Connect is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accountant to work 4 days a week.
Job Summary:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and month-end procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
·Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable: Accurately and timely process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
·Progress Billing: Prepare and submit progress invoices, track project costs and revenue, and ensure timely payment.
·GST/PST: Prepare and submit GST/PST returns, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely payment to government authorities.
·Month-End: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other general ledger accounts. Prepare and post journal entries to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
· Payroll: Including CRA payroll remittance and WCB remittance.
· Other: Assist with financial reporting and analysis, prepare supporting documentation for audits, and participate in special accounting projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
·Education: High school Graduate, with some related post-secondary education
·Experience: 3+ years relevant experience in a similar diverse accounting role with a small-to-mid-sized company or firm
·Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
·Experience with Spectrum ERP Construction Software is not required, but an asset.
·Strong attention to detail
·Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines and succeeding in fast a paced environment
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·This position requires on-site work at our office. Remote work is not currently available
