*Job Overview*
We are a local property restoration company seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a wide range of administrator and accounting tasks and be proficient in Quickbooks, Sage, and Excel. Experience with Xactimate is a bonus.
*Responsibilities*
- Manage accounts payable, entering vendor invoices and processing bi-monthly cheque runs.
- Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and posting payment to customer accounts
- Month end processing including calculating work in progress and providing financial summaries to ownership
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage for financial data entry and analysis
- Working with Project Managers and assisting with their files
- Paperwork for new hires
- Answering incoming calls
*Requirements*
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks and Sage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
