Position Title: Credit Manager

Position Summary:
The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of credit and collections for the business unit. This role will ensure efficient credit processes, timely payments, and minimal risk to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and approve credit applications from customers, assigning appropriate credit terms based on established risk criteria.
- Process new accounts, manage incoming payments, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Handle daily financial transactions, including posting and recording accounts receivable data, preparing bank deposits, and generating various AR reports.
- Follow up on missed invoices and deductions using the claims portal, monitor portals for directive memos, and implement effective collection strategies.
- Identify opportunities to enhance credit processes and reduce bad debt, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Accounts Receivable/Credit Management.
- Strong data entry skills, with a proven ability to handle accounting figures and financial records accurately.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Experience in the food industry would be considered an asset.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.
- A solutions-oriented mindset to balance the needs of the company and its customers.
- Relevant studies at the College or University level, or completion of Credit Institute of Canada courses (Certified Credit Professional) is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft applications is required.
