JOB DESCRIPTION
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for all daily Financial Transactions related to the Accounts Receivable of the Pension Office Corporation, General Synod Pension Plan, Continuing Education Plan, Group Benefits Plan, Self-Insured Death Benefit Plan, Long-Term Disability Plan and the Endowment Plan
· Maintains customer accounts
· Coordinates with the Employee Benefits team to generate the monthly Employee Benefits, LTD and SIDB invoices
· Posts receipts in a timely manner
· Prepares and reviews the monthly A/R entries with instructions received from employers
· Coordinates with the Pension and Benefits team to respond to queries from employers and members related to accounts receivable
· A/R collections
· Weekly preparation of A/R reports from Accounting System
Assist the Accounting, Pension and Benefits teams with clerical and web related duties as required
· Responsible for the mailing of the semi-annual remittance advices, annual tax slips and annual pension statements
· Other duties as may be required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 2-3 years of relevant experience on the accounts receivable role
· Bachelors/Post secondary education
Preferred Skills
· Familiar and proficient in Microsoft Accounting Systems and Applications
· Able to schedule and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
· Ability to exercise tact and judgment in the exercise of accounts receivable duties
· Adheres to company policy on confidentiality and cyber security
The position reports directly to the Manager of Finance and Systems
