Accounting Bookkeeper
The Accounting Bookkeeper supports day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.
*Must be in office three days a week Downtown Toronto
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update financial records and general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile employee expenses and post journal entries.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process payments, manage invoicing, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor Aged Payables/Receivables for timeliness.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations:
- Perform regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Audits:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and audit documentation.
Compliance & Support:
- Ensure adherence to policies and maintain organized records.
- Assist senior accountants and handle ad hoc financial tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Accounting.
- Experience: 2-4 years of bookkeeping or related roles; Sage Intacct experience is an asset.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and proficiency in Google Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Other: Confidentiality, analytical skills, and excellent communication.
