Bookkeeper / Office Assistant needed ASAP
Urgently hiring - Due to health reasons, Nanaimo Excavating company is looking for an experienced fulltime bookkeeper. Candidate must have intermediate experience with both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Office is converting from desktop to online, so must have a good working knowledge of both. Main duties include accounts payable, accounts receivable (billing) bank/visa reconciliation, and payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Conduct bank/visa reconciliations, issuing cheques - Making bank deposits, ordering office supplies
- General office duties
- Process QuickBooks payroll and maintain payroll records
- Support the Accountant in preparing PST, GST, and WCB remittances and corporate tax installment payments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
