What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a senior bookkeeper who can work independentlyYou MUST LIVE IN NANAIMO or surrounding area on Vancouver Island. Someone who is proficient with Sage and/or Quickbooks and has experience with payroll preferably. You must understand accounting principles or be willing to learn them.

Who you are:

You live in Nanaimo, Ladysmith or Parksville
You are someone who LOVES numbers!
You’re PUMPED when you reconcile a bank or credit card statement!
You’re a well organized self-motivated and professional with excellent attention to detail
You are experienced in Sage 50 and QBO
You have excellent communication skills and follow-through skills
You have 5+ years bookkeeping experience
You can work independently and with accuracy

What you’ll do: (Including but not limited to)

As a member of our team,

You will perform regular bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, reconcile statements, A/R, A/P, Payroll and all those other normal duties. You know what they are. This isn’t your first rodeo.
You will work directly with the founder and office manager of Brilliant so your work will be brought to you and together discuss the strategy for each business client.

What you need:

Strong understanding of Sage 50 and/or QBO
Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to adhere to deadlines and diarize them

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
