Senior Level Bookkeeper
We are an accounting/bookkeeping firm based out of Waterloo seeking a full-time senior level bookkeeper to provide customized in-house bookkeeping and accounting services for various clients. The candidate will support our client in their duties and responsibilities and assist junior staff, as required.
Employment requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping environment, with strong oral and written communication skills. This role requires an individual who is organized and able to multi-task, detail oriented and professional, with sound knowledge in payroll and employment standards, multicurrency transactions, sales tax and month end reporting. Experience with Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Word and Excel is required. SAP and Simply Accounting experience is an asset, but not required.
Primary duties of this role include payroll and related functions. Additional duties include:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
-Payroll
-HST/GST
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Month end journal entries
- Expense reports
- Processing sales tax remittances
- Maintaining filing and record systems
-Hourly rate: $26 - $32 per hour, depending on experience.
Hours: daily, 6 - 7.5 per day, minimum 3 days per week at the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
