Introduction
Participation Lodge Grey Bruce (PLGB) is a 90-person social service agency in the Grey Bruce area providing a range of supported living programs and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injury.
These offerings are in the form of supportive care for people living in our main group facility (the Lodge); and for those with greater independence residing in their own home or apartment in the surrounding communities we serve.
Founded in 1974, the organization was the beneficiary early on of the donation of a 25-acre property by LutherRanch, a non-profit charitable corporation of the Lutheran Church. The physical building known as the Lodge opened its doors on this property in 1982 and the agency has grown considerably in scope since.
PLGB provides support to 49 individuals, 26 of whom live at the Lodge and 23 of whom reside in community. The organization operates under the auspices of and is funded by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Community and Children’s Social Services (MCCSS).
