The Ministry of Environment is seeking an organized and client service-oriented individual for the position of Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk located in Regina.
This position is responsible for collections and taking payments. This position may audit Ministry revenue returns ensuring that reports are verified and processed in accordance with Acts, regulations, policies and procedures. You will review, identify, and/or determine discrepancies and prepare adjustments to rectify errors ensuring that revenue is properly allocated and recorded. You will also maintain accounts receivable records for annual land dispositions, collect payments, issue receipts for cash mail, in-person payments, credit card and debit payments. You will create, maintain and reconcile various financial reports and work with multiple computer software applications, spreadsheets, databases and integrated financial systems in order to balance financial data.
You must have strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, be attentive to detail and have the ability to provide leadership, guidance, training and advice to staff and clients on Ministry processes and policies. You must be reliable, organized, and be able to work with diverse clients.
The knowledge required to complete the requirements of this position are typically acquired through the completion of a post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting, complemented by relevant job knowledge obtained through experience in related positions.
