Position
Join MP Bookkeeping Services as a Senior Bookkeeper and play an essential role in supporting our clients’ financial operations with precision and efficiency. As a detail-oriented and proactive individual, you will take on a variety of key accounting tasks, contributing directly to the financial accuracy and success of the businesses we serve.
You will handle responsibilities such as calculating and preparing payroll cheques, maintaining general ledgers, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts. This position offers the opportunity to enhance your bookkeeping expertise while working in a dynamic environment where your contributions are integral to the financial health of our clients.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Bookkeeper on our team, you will:
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Keep Financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
Essential Qualifications
- 5 years or more experience as a bookkeeper
- Secondary (high) School graduation certificate
- Accounting certification is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with Quickbooks, Simply Accounting, and Sage Accounting Software
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure
